This holiday season, P.S. 130M is helping to make giving easy, meaningful and personal so little kids can make a big difference in their community. We’ve partnered with Daymaker, a completely online giving platform that delivers gifts to tens of thousands of children from low-income families, just in time for the holidays! The school that has the highest participation rate will win $10,000 grant! Help our school while you help other kids :)

Common Core State Standards

The Common Core standards were developed by educators and other experts based on research and lessons learned from top-performing countries. The standards describe the skills and knowledge your children need to succeed in a rapidly changing world, including the ability to think creatively, solve real-world problems, make effective arguments, and engage in debates.

New York State adopted the Common Core Standards in July 2010 with the understanding that New York State could add an additional 15% of NYS-specific standards in ELA and Mathematics. The Board of Regents approved the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards in January 2011. See the New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for Math and ELA.
