Morning Arrival
- School Start Time: 8:15 AM
- Main entrance opens: 7:35 AM for all students
- Breakfast (K-5): Served in the cafeteria from 7:35 to 8:00 AM
- Morning line-up locations (K-5):
- K & 1: Cafeteria
- 2 & 3: Auditorium
- 4 & 5: Playroom
- Late arrivals: Students arriving after 8:15 AM will get a late pass and then go directly to the classroom.
- Main entrance closure: Doors remain open until 8:25 AM, then lock. After that, families must be buzzed in and escort students to the lobby.
- Pre-K arrivals: Pre-K students line up outside in the Hester Street Yard by class; teachers pick them up by 8:15 AM. In inclement weather, they enter through the red doors and line up inside the Music Room.
Afternoon Dismissal
- Dismissal times by grade & exit locations:
- Pre-K: 2:25 PM -- Hester Street Yard
- Grade K, 1, 2: 2:30 PM -- Hester Street Yard
- Grade 3: 2:30 PM -- Back Exit Door (Hester Street Yard)
- Grade 4: 2:30 PM -- Exit Door B (Baxter St.)
- Grade 5: 2:30 PM -- Exit Door D (Hester St.)
- Late pickup: Any student not picked up by 2:35 PM will be brought back inside by their teacher to the Auditorium. Adults must then enter through the Main Entrance to pick up their child.
- Please do not crowd around exits/doors as it will be more difficult for teachers to release students when guardians are not clearly visible due to overcrowding. Please stand back and wait for your child’s teacher to acknowledge and signal for your child to meet you where you are standing.
- Please inform the main office at (212) 226-8072, if any dismissal arrangement is to be made.
