PS 130 Arts Programs

PS 130 offers a range of performing arts programs integrated into the school day for each grade, including dance, singing, violin, and musical theater through partnerships with groups like Inside Broadway, National Dance Institute, and Rosie's Theatre Kids. Additionally, students in grades 2–5 can audition or apply for voluntary, year-long programs such as Young People's Chorus, Advanced Violin, Drum and Fife, Voices of 130 (school chorus), Lion Dance (5th grade only), and a visual arts program (CASA for 2nd graders), with many rehearsals held after school. The school also hosts three in-house shows—Holiday, Lunar New Year, and Multicultural—with class participation selected by teachers.
